Ever since Allspice opened up in Des Moines' East Village, I have been a fan. Browsing through the jars and jars of herbs, spices and blends is an experience like no other. Tester jars for sample sniffs is amazing. Then head to back and do taste testings of their numerous types of vinegars and oils. Everything they sell comes in different sizes. Buy a small bottle of an oil or vinegar and test it out at home. I have a lazy susan in my cupboard with a variety of these small bottles for trying out different flavors and food combinations.
